I just discovered your Screencasts and I think they are very good. In this video you have shown how you developed a nice solution for making free screencasts. But it is kind of cumbersome because you use bbsoftware to capture the screen and in parallel you use Audacity to record voice. And for merging these two and creating a movie for Youtube etc you have to use Windows Movie Maker. I use Jing for screen shots and screencasts. The free version has all the useful features for creating Screencasts and sharing with friends. However, for direct uploading to Youtube etc and lots of additional features you may need to upgrade to jing pro for about $14/year. I love Jing pro as it provides me with everything I need. Have you ever tried Jing? If you have, why do you prefer your current system over its free version?
I have tried Jing(Project) in past but, for some reason, I don't feel comfortable recording something with it. Couple months back, I found screenr.com which can do everything Jing Pro can for free. All you need is Twitter ID. Besides that, I don't have to install anything on my computer. My last three Screencasts are recorded with screenr.com
The setup I have with BBsoftware is not very pleasant but I feel more relaxed recoding things with it because there is not time restriction of any kind. It also have some other good features too, like webcam capture, mouse tracking, etc. After I'm done recording video on bbsoftware, I edit it on Windows Live Movie Maker because I like to add small clip of Intro before my screencast.
The reason why I made this video is because someone on YouTube asked me to show, how I record my videos.
